Trial Attorney, Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, and Legal Analyst
Mark NeJame received both his Bachelor's Degree and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. He graduated from UF’s College of Law in 1980. He is based primarily in Central Florida, with his main office in Orlando. He has routinely handled both State and Federal cases and clients throughout Florida, having practiced in numerous counties throughout the State, as well as in all of Florida’s Federal district courts, and the Middle, Northern, and Southern U.S. Districts. In addition to Florida, he represents clients and has handled cases in multiple other states and districts throughout the United States and the Caribbean, including Georgia, Texas, Massachusetts, California, New York, Virgin Islands, New Jersey, Michigan, North Carolina, and Virginia.
For the first 25 years of his 40-year career, Mark devoted his practice primarily to criminal defense. His local and national reputation were achieved by passionately representing thousands of clients charged with essentially every type of criminal offense. Mark’s reputation and that of the firm’s other criminal defense attorneys make them in high demand for those who find themselves—or a friend or family member—arrested, investigated, or charged. Because of the demand for him and his firm to provide additional types of legal services, NeJame Law expanded its practice areas many years ago. The firm’s legal specialties now include strong and equally well-respected Personal Injury, Immigration, Complex Family Law, and Civil/Commercial Litigation divisions.
Utilizing the same reputation, ethical approach, negotiation, and trial skills for which he and his firm have become renowned, NeJame Law's extraordinary Personal Injury division helps and represents individuals and families who have been injured by or killed in everything from motor vehicle accidents, truck accidents, slip and fall cases, premise liability, negligent security, injuries caused by excessive use of force by law enforcement, dog bites, and medical malpractice. The firm has secured multi-million-dollar awards and substantial and meaningful recoveries for its many personal injury clients. The firm’s motto of "Big Enough to Win, Small Enough to Care" especially applies to its Personal Injury division, in that compassionate and skilled attention is paid to each client to ensure that they receive the maximum recovery that the firm can possibly achieve.
Mark continues to be passionate about the rights of his clients and their entitlement to the best representation possible. He’s tackled and seen too many injustices in his illustrious career that have required the passion, skills, and dedication that Mark and NeJame Law offer. Although most of Mark's cases involve regular people dealing with extraordinary life events, Mark and NeJame Law have handled numerous high-profile cases involving judges, professionals, media celebrities, professional athletes, attorneys, politicians, law enforcement officials, and renowned businesspeople. Many of these cases are often kept off the public radar and resolved quietly. Others either necessitate public exposure or proper handling and management of the media. With his vast media experience, as well as his substantial legal background and experience, Mark and his team have immense experience in knowing how to properly navigate a case through such issues, landmines, and considerations.
NeJame Law also has Immigration, Family Law, Employment, and Commercial Litigation divisions that are similarly dedicated to the same measure of excellence NeJame Law demands.
