SIGNS OF DEPRESSION Last week: A few weeks ago several of us met in Miami. One of our friends, Dave, joined us there. A nicer guy doesn’t exist — kind to a fault, caring, no alcohol or drugs, smart, fun and loyal. When he came back to Orlando he killed himself. Everyone remains devastated. Turns out he suffered from depression and some mental-health issues that nobody picked up on. He covered well. All of us must do better to look for the indicators ... talk, listen, help others get help. Be conscious, educated and aware of the signs of depression. Don’t ignore the little signals. They are there. RIP, my friend.
